Blackberry Lime Margarita RecipeThis drink gives one the benefits of both blackberries and lime. This combination is packed with vitamin C and gives the immunity a boost along with the mood for the day. The ingredients which are required for this power packed drink are sugar, white tequila, lime juice which is fresh, ice cubes and blackberries. Quantities required to make 4 of these blackberry lime margaritas ¼ cup of sugar ¾ cup of white tequila ½ cup of lime juice extracted freshly 2 cups of ice cubes 2 cups of black berries Method of making this vitamin C packed drink The blackberries should be pureed in a blender and then strained through a sieve which is fine to remove all the solid parts from it. This should be discarded and not added to the drink. Put ½ a cup of the pureed blackberries along with the ice cubes, fresh lime juice, white tequila and sugar into the cocktail shaker and shake well until well blended. Pour the mix into 4 margarita stemmed glasses. The blackberries apart from being a rich source of vitamin C have dietary fiber, potassium, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, manganese, iron, selenium, zinc and copper and vitamins A and E. This is a low fat drink with no cholesterol content and energy from the sugar and alcohol content of the tequila. |
