Apricot Margarita Recipe
The combination of tequila and apricots is an energy booster which peps up the system and gives one a comfortable high without loosing our senses in the swirls of this appetizing drink. Apricots are available throughout the year either canned or as dried fruits. So making an Apricot Margarita is never a problem for ingredients. The ingredients required for this peppy drink are ice cubes, apricot nectar, lime juice which is freshly extracted, sugar, tequila and fresh pitted apricots or canned apricots or unpeeled apricots which have been drained.
The quantities of ingredients required to make 4 drinks
3 cups of ice cubes
½ a cup of nectar of apricots
¼ cup of lime juice which is fresh
¼ cup of sugar
½ cup of tequila
16 ounces of canned juice or apricot halves which are unpeeled or
1 ½ cups of fresh apricots pitted and halved
Method of making this peppy drink
The apricot nectar, lime juice, sugar, tequila and apricot halves should be put into a blender, covered and blended until smooth. While the blender is still running the ice cubes should be dropped into them so that this makes a slushy drink. Pour the margaritas into four margarita glasses.
Apricots proved great nutrients like anti oxidants, beta carotene, fiber, and vitamin C. The apricot has a flavor which is a combination of peaches and plums which is musky. The tequila provides calories, vitamins A and C and iron and is a low fat low calorie drink.
